Soucal is the reflection of Ana Sousa Caldas, a Portuguese artist born in Porto.

Her work emerges from a dialogue between imagination, abstraction, and everyday life. These layers overlap, shaping and reshaping each piece in a continuous process of making, undoing, and repeating.

Although her practice often takes form through the body and three-dimensional objects, she is equally drawn to surface — to the quiet language of charcoal, oil pastels, and oil painting.
